Some women do claim to get sick and weepy a few weeks after intercourse, but pregnancy symptoms differ from person to person. You can't assume, if you feel a little nauseous next Tuesday morning, that you're pregnant. Find out when your next period is due, okay? What are some symptoms of a wisdom tooth infection before having them extracted?
Q. My wisdom teeth started coming in about a week and a half ago and i have the common soreness of the gum. Today I woke up feeling sick, I have a fever along with the worst headache I have ever had and both of my ears hurt. Also I'm having a very hard time swallowing. A. What you have is called "pericoronitis". A condition very common for wisdom teeth that are partially impacted (only partly way out). What is happening is that food and debris is getting between the flap of gum and the tooth. There is a gum infection and it can be extremely painful. Common symptoms are sorness of the overlying gum. Redness and swelling of the gum around the wisdom tooth. Pain traveling up to the ear. Sometimes it can hinder mouth opening and cause swelling on the side of the face. Immediate treatment would involve rinsing with warm salt water several times a day to clean the area. Also an antibiotic. Eventually, the wisdom tooth should be extracted. Otherwise, the infection will come again.

Q. My cat doesn't wheeze when breathing regularly but sounds like it when she purrs. Also she seems to get mucus in one nostril that I have to clean out every couple of days. I adopted her from a shelter about two months ago and she's had these "symptoms" since then. Fast acting B2 agonists like albuterol "cater" to the bronchial smooth muscle constriction that is occuring arround your lower airways. the albuterol relaxes the smooth muscle allowing the bronchioles to widen and more air to pass. There is airway inflammation occuring as well that is usually taken care of with steroids. If you use your inhaler more than twice a week your asthma may not be controlled and you may need to be taking controller meds as well. Like Nichole mentioned Albuterol is the cheapest and most widely used beta agonist rescue inhaler. there is another that is used but it hasn't been proven to work any better or faster and its about 6 times as expensive.

A. I had an idea that I was pregnant within a few days of conception (I know some people will insist that's not possible, but I felt "different). I was utterly exhausted to the point where I felt at times like I was going to pass out. I was profoundly hungry -- I HAD to eat and I had to eat at that very moment, whatever I could find. I also started to feel like my lower tummy was tight, like it was stretching or something. Then I started having cramps like I was going to have my period, and my period never came. I waited until I was over a week late until I took my first pregnancy test ever, and I tested positive.

A. I had an idea that I was pregnant within a few days of conception (I know some people will insist that's not possible, but I felt "different). I was utterly exhausted to the point where I felt at times like I was going to pass out. I was profoundly hungry -- I HAD to eat and I had to eat at that very moment, whatever I could find. I also started to feel like my lower tummy was tight, like it was stretching or something. Then I started having cramps like I was going to have my period, and my period never came. I waited until I was over a week late until I took my first pregnancy test ever, and I tested positive.

What are all the symptoms of swine flu?
Q. The question says it all. I know the symptoms of swine flu but I do not not them all. I know this because, I, myself has swine flu, and because I have, I will then feel the symptoms. However, I do not understand some of the symptoms as I am not old enough to know them all. I would like you, if you can, explain each symptom to me. However, if you do not know them all that would be okay, as long as you jot down a few symptoms that you know of, or researched of. Thank You.

A. Usually symptoms are of a sudden onset and usually consist of a temperature (>38oC), dry hacking cough, fatigue, body aches including headache and sometimes loss of appetite.

How many weeks until you start feeling symptoms?
Q. Hi! I know some women start to feel symptoms the minute they get pregnant and some women dont even get any symptoms throughout the whole pregnancy. How many weeks does it take for an average person to start feelings symptoms from the day they conceive?

A. i don't think there's an average time, because in general, there isn't an average pregnancy. i got cravings almost instantly, which is when i expected, nd at about 6 weeks i got morning sickness and depression...i'm 19 weeks now and i started getting the headaches and dizziness two weeks ago...they can come at different stages of pregnancy, and you could be lucky enough to not get any of the icky ones! good luck!

When looking at the symptoms of a disease, how can a doctor determine whether it is bacterial or viral?
Q. In other words, what is the difference between how viral infections and bacterial infections affect the body? How are the symptoms between the two types of diseases different? After a doctor learns what symptoms a patient has, what further tests or examinations would he/she run to determine whether the disease is bacterial or viral?

A. In some cases it can be tough. But there are several ways to try & sort it out. First, what is going around? If a virus is spreading through the area, epidemiology suggests it is a virus. Furthermore, viral infections tend to cause a wide range of symptoms due to the way the virus attacks the body--fever, muscle aches, headache, rash, joint aches, etc all at once highly suggest a virus. Bacterial infections tend to be more localized--pneumonia causes respiratory symptoms primarily--not joint pain too. A bacterial infection that has spread so much to cause a lot of symptoms (called "sepsis") has the person very very ill. Viruses are also much more common than bacterial infections. A. fibromyalgia is highly overdiagnosed by incompetant docs--its not any where near as prevelant as reported- it is a real neuro condition---but actually not that common. my symptoms started at 5 there are many conditions that mimin FMS. even an aggressive lifestyle---I know someone who is overactive--volunatarilly only sleeping 5 hours a night/engaging in strenuaous activity voluntarily---she was diagnosed with Fms--but if she would just change her habits--she would proabbly be 'cured'
