How to care and safe my Home parrot egg?
Q. My parrot laid 3 eggs 2 days back. Any body knows, how could I'll care that eggs to make baby from that. Now, put up come cloths and papres, my bet parrot keeps eggs on that and care about that. I will save the eggs, if you given good idea to take care of them.
Asked by Bala - Wed Dec 19 03:16:10 2007 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments

A. unless you have a male the eggs are infertile.. there's nothing you can do to make them hatch... much like most store bought chicken eggs. If you have a male get her a nest box and let her hatch the eggs herself... as trying to do it is a expensive trail and error proposition. If you want to save the eggs for like a collection, make a small pin hole in on side and a larger hole on the other. Prop it up with the small hole down on a piece of cardboard taped into a circle. Fill it with plaster of Paris and let it sit till it dries. when done dab a small spot of p.o.p. on the small hole and wipe it off so the whole disappears. should dry quick... now you got an egg for life!

How to care care for a new born mouse?
Q. I found a new born mouse today. It freaked me out at first, but I decided to leave it so the momma could come back for it, but she never came. I didn't think she was going too since the baby mouse was in the middle of my kitchen floor... So, my husband and I decided to try and take care of it. But we have no idea how, I've googled a couple ideas on how to feed it. But I'm not sure they'll work. Any ideas or any knowledge about how to care for this poor thing?

How does Universal Health Care motivate individuals to adopt healthier lifestyles?
Q. At a time in our country when two out of three adults are overweight, how does providing state-run health care encourage people to take better care of themselves? Look how unhealthy Americans are when health care is at a premium. Imagine our condition when it's doled out like welfare.
Asked by ~ - Fri Mar 19 14:54:46 2010 - - 9 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Because the quality of care within the Universal system is so bad you certainly don't want to have to use it. Therefore you will live longer by taking better care of yourself.

What is the proper care for a lucky bamboo?
Q. My mom has been trying to care for a lucky bamboo for about a week or so, but she isn't sure of the proper care. She doesn't know how much water she should give it and all of the other necessary things. Does anybody know how to care for it properly? Thank you. (:

A. Hello :) I have had lucky bamboo for 3 years now. I bought it in Florida when I was visiting my dad. I bought a deep ceramic planter (try to get one at least 8-10 inches deep...to hold the water and pebbles/small rocks needed). You'll need to buy pebbles/small rocks in a gardening center...real cheap, about $5. Next, find a kitchen size garbage bag and place it in the container as if you are putting it in a wastebasket. don't worry about the excess now. Next, fill the container with about 2 inches of pebbles 1st...no more...so the ends of the bamboo aren't at the very bottom of your container and it allows for growth of roots and water to absorb from the ends. Next, hold one piece of bamboo at a time, and stratigically place enough… [cont.]

How hard is it to take care of a robotic baby for health class for the weekend?
Q. Okay, so for health class we have the choice to take care of a robotic baby, or to write a long essay about what you would do if you had a kid. I'm really not the best essay writer, so I'm thinking about taking care of the robot for the weekend. How hard are they to take care of, and any tips on taking care of it? Thanks.

A. I had to do it in high school. We wore a key around our wrists (that we couldn't get off, unless cut and that would be an automatic fail). There was a keyhole in the baby's back and when the baby cried you had to put the key in, turn and hold it. When the baby gave another short cry, you could take the key out. The length of time depended on the "activity" the crying simulated. It varied from about one minute (diaper change) to 20 (feeding) and you had to hold the key the whole time. If you didn't or if you threw the baby, dropped it, hit it etc it would show up as abuse. It was even possible to "kill" the baby. I took it for a weekend and comparing it to caring for my daughter, it was fairly realistic. You get a carseat and/or stroller… [cont.]

A. Interesting question. How many young people, say 30 and younger have paid into a health insurance plan since they were first employed? How many of these have had extreme health issues that otherwise would have wiped them out? Truth is, and the insurance companies know, is that the youth have *always* subsidized the elderly because statistically, one is more likely to need to *use* health insurance when one is older, than when one is younger. So, younger folks premiums go to the cost and care of those who are older. In a way, not unlike a Ponzi scheme. Is this bad? In strict terms of the youth subsidizing their older compatriots, no. But when it gets dicey is that the youth get old eventually, and when they get their insurance revolked… [cont.]

How will health care be affected by legalizing marijuana?
Q. Hey everyone. I need help on answering this question: How will health care access, cost, and quality be affected by the passage or defeat of a bill legalizing marijuana. The bill is AB 390, but i just need some answers on the affect of health care by legalizing marijuana or not. I've done some research but I need a little more. Thanks.
Asked by Cha - Wed Nov 11 04:24:25 2009 - - 10 Answers - 0 Comments

A. If marijuana was made legal and the government produced and taxed it, the revenue could cover a huge portion of the health care budget. The government could mass produce many different types of weed and at such a low cost because the 'danger' aspect would be non-existent; then then they could tax it heavily and make it cost the same it does now plus make billions a year that could be used to support health care. Not only that but it would save the DEA and many police forces and other government agencies billions just in time spent and effort wasted arresting harmless weed smokers. In New York city in 2008 it cost them 90 million dollars to arrest and detain people possessing minor amounts of weed and I can think of many better uses for… [cont.]

A. Curly/kinky hair needs moisture, moisture, and more moisture! . Avoid drying products such as hair spray, mousse, holding gels, etc. Opt for moisturizers, leave-in conditioners, and styling lotions. Black hair requires more oil. Look for natural oils and quality ingredients. Also when combing your hair use a wide tooth comb as oppose to fine. A fine tooth comb will just literaly rip your hair out plus it will hurt like heck.

How would health care reform effect doctors and patients in america?
Q. What are the pro's and cons for both doctors and patients... I like the quality of care that i receive now but the price of medical care is sickening & unaffordable to pretty much everyone. How would this effect health care? If you get to pick your own doctor how would this effect your treatment? How can our country realistically afford to pay for health care? Are taxes going to go up to pay for this which in the end is that even saving americans money? Give me some facts about this health care plan
Asked by Ro$e - Wed Aug 5 21:34:53 2009 - - 7 Answers - 1 Comments

A. What is going to happen is the Government is going to set the rates doctors can charge for services. Doctors cannot afford the rates so they will overbook people to get the most money they can so you will go to the Dr office and wait for several hours and maybe even have to return the next day. Dr groups will get bigger and overbooking will be even more and waiting will be longer. Just think of going to the Dr and there being 100 patients in the waiting room to see a Dr.

What is the best way to care for a painted wood floor?
Q. My husband and I recently bought a house built in 1941. All the wood floors are painted with what I am sure is an oil-based floor paint. I like the look of it, but I am not sure of how to care for it properly. Are there any differences in caring for a painted wood floor than in caring for a standard stained wood floor?

A. Murphy's Oil Soap is great for painted floors. It's a vegetable based cleaner so it won't strip the paint. The cleaners for stained floors are a whole different ball of wax.

A. They are filter feeders, so if it's in a tank with fish and you're feeding the fish (especially the frozen cubes of brine shrimp, plankton, Marine Cuisine, etc.) it will filter the small particles out of the water (of course this works best if you have the filtration off temporarily and target feed toward the duster with a turkey baster). If the tube is "firm" the worm is still inside. Unless it smells very bad, it's not dead. Don't try to take it out of the tube, but prop it up with some live rock or let it rest on the substrate so that the ends are clear of any obstructions. When the worm is comfortable it'll extend the feeding fans. See this website for good info about just about anything to do with aquaria (saltwater of… [cont.]

How do you take care of a baby bird hatchling?
Q. I just recently found a baby bird hatchling in my front yard. It seems to be very young (no feathers and its eyes are closed shut) and I'm not quite sure how to take care of it. I tried to find its mother, but there seems to be no nest nearby. Does anyone know the best way to take care of it? Thanks in advance.
Asked by saltypopcorn14@sbcglobal.net - Tue Jul 22 17:05:39 2008 - - 11 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Step 1 Determine whether a featherless baby bird has fallen out of its nest. Step2 Put the bird back in the nest if you can reach it. Step3 Carefully place the bird in a box or paper bag lined with soft tissues if you cannot put the bird back into the nest or if you do not know where the nest is. Step4 Poke holes into the box lid or bag to admit air. Step5 Keep the box or bag in a moderately warm place. Step6 Contact a licensed rehabilitator to care for the bird. Step7 Contact the local Audubon Society, Humane Society or a local veterinarian for advice if you do not have a wildlife rehabilitation organization in your area.

What do you think about health care from a morality perspective?
Q. I'm not referring to any individual health care bill or idea for reform. I'm talking only about the concept of health care itself. Do you believe a society that considers itself advanced has any moral obligations to care for the sick? Do you believe everyone should fend for themselves? If so, are you comfortable with the fact that while that means some abusers of the system (whatever that may be) will die, so too will some who are innocent?
Asked by Charles Veidt - Thu Jul 16 16:03:36 2009 - - 15 Answers - 0 Comments

A. This is the very thing that differentiates a society from lone hunter-gatherers. The final evolutionary step that separated us from other animals was the development of agriculture. Before, it was "every primate for himself." People hunted and gathered food for themselves and their families. Those who couldn't, died. That's the fundamental rule of the animal kingdom. But the development of agriculture brought about an entirely new concept. Instead of simply feeding your family, people worked the land and shared it with the community, even those who were too weak to fend for themselves. Rather than dying, these individuals with weaker physical bodies who developed relying on their minds started developing literature, science, art,… [cont.]
